How to "Lock" Computer With Flashdisk

If you have to lock your computer using only the conventional way, by giving a password to login you may have missed other ways to protect your computer from the hands of irresponsible. This method is much more effective than just passwords that you use on the computer.

You can use a free software for Windows called Predator. Predator Software is convert your flash into a "key" that will cause your computer to lock when the flash is removed. To open it you have to plug in the flash back. So you can protect the data on your computer in a way as is done by secret agents in Hollywood films. Everyone is trying to get into your computer without using the flash that has become the key will get an error message "Access Denied". 

Here are the steps to set up the application Predator:

1. Download the application Predator here, then install on your computer.
2. Then open the app and enter your flash Predator. There is no data in the flash to be removed or altered in any way by this application, so you can use your primary flash. When you insert the flash will pop up a dialog box that asks you to enter a password, click OK to continue.
3. Upon entry to the Preferences window, consider some of the main settings. The first thing you should do is to enter a password that is truly unique and secure in the "New password". Because if you lose the flash that is used as a key, you can use a password to unlock the computer. If you want the application Predator always ask for a password every time you insert the flash to unlock, please tick the option "Always Required". Last at the bottom of "Flash Drive" make sure that you select the correct flash. After that click on "Create key" then OK.
4. After that the application Predator will come out. If so click the Predator that is in the task bar to restart the application. Wait a few seconds until the Predator icon is green, it indicates that the Predator is already running on your computer. Every 30 seconds Predator will check if flash is your key still stuck in the computer, otherwise the computer will immediately locked.
